LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP:  A light trade took place on Wednesday 
with live deals at $112, roughly $7 lower than the prior 
week's weighted averages. A few Northern dressed deals were 
reported at $180, generally $9 lower than the previous week's 
weighted average basis Nebraska. Thursday a few live deals 
were reported by Mandatory in Nebraska at $114, $5 lower than 
the prior week's weighted average. Friday the country 
remained very quiet without even a token bid surfacing. As 
you can see below, trade volume totals were very light. 
According to the Friday afternoon Mandatory reports weekly 
trade volumes were as follows: KS 6,988; NE 8,949; TX 3,612; 
IA 5,590; CO not available due to confidentiality.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS:  The country is quiet this morning with 
bids and asking prices not established. Significant trade 
volume will likely be delayed until the second half of the 
week. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower with generally 
light box movement.

For the week ending March 28, 2020, Imported Beef Passed for 
Entry in the U.S. totaled 42,859, 112.67% of the previous week 
and 115.55% of the 4-week average.
